The width of the Narrow

(which are entered from English Bay) is about 600 ft.. and the depth of the channel is from 38 ft. to 72 ft. (L.W.). After the Narrows are passed the harbour expands to nearly 1 mile in width. The channel from the Narrows to the wharves is wide and deep (L.W.).
